{"id":7,"date":"2018-01-30T01:22:31","date_gmt":"2018-01-30T01:22:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/saintmichaelscathedral.bb\/faith\/?page_id=7"},"modified":"2023-11-16T20:07:48","modified_gmt":"2023-11-16T20:07:48","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/saintmichaelscathedral.bb\/faith\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em><strong> The St. Michael Centre for Faith and Action<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: revert;\">The St Michael Centre for Faith and Action<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert;\"> is a Registered Charity No 1322 formed under the Charities Act, 243 of Barbados on 2 May 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Its <strong>Mission<\/strong> is to engage the nation on issues of public interest with an emphasis on the integration of faith and action.<\/p>\n<p>The<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> <strong>Objectives and Goals<\/strong><\/span> are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The advancement of public education and religion, specifically<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To engage with the questions of faith and action and how they relate to the influencing of personal conduct and the formulation of public policy;<\/li>\n<li>To be a community of moral deliberation bringing the distinctive wisdom of the Christian faith to bear on our understanding of the pursuit of the common good.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The promotion of purposes beneficial to the community, specifically<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To create an environment which is conducive for dialogue, promote understanding, and work in partnership with all agencies and all people of goodwill;<\/li>\n<li>To cultivate and facilitate an atmosphere for research and publication in the area of public theology for personal development and the advancement of church.<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;To support such charity or charities or such charitable purpose or purposes as the Trustees shall in their absolute discretion think fit.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n3. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The relief of poverty and specifically:<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;To respond to human and social needs, demonstrating kindness showing the love of God to the vulnerable and to support the faithful in embodying this love in their everyday lives;<\/li>\n<li>To support such charity or charities or such charitable purpose or purposes as the Trustees shall in their absolute discretion think fit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The St. Michael Centre for Faith and Action &nbsp; The St Michael Centre for Faith and Action is a Registered Charity No 1322 formed under the Charities Act, 243 of Barbados on 2 May 2017.
