The Chairman:

The Very Revd Dr. Jeffrey D. Gibson assumed the office of Dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Michael and all Angels on February 1, 2016. He served previously as incumbent of the Church of the Holy Trinity, St. Philip (January 1, 1986 to June 30, 1994) and the Church of St. Leonard, St. Michael (July 1, 1994 to January 31, 2016). He has served Part-time as Lecturer in Christian Ethics at Codrington College since September 1983.

He has an interest in the practice of the Ministry, Social Ministry and Public Theology. He is married to the former Rosemary Bentham and they are the parents of two adult daughters, Leah (Hotel Operations Manager) and Joelle (Accountant).

Ms. Marilyn Forde is a retired Administrator.  She received her education at Queen’s College and the Barbados Community College. Ms. Forde was employed by UWI Cave Hill Campus and also held senior administrative posts at Sandy Lane Hotel. She is a charter member of Lions Club of Barbados East and worships at Christ Church Parish Church.

The Revd Sandra Hazell, B. A. (Hons) Theology UWI, Rector of St Lawrence Church (House of Prayer by the Sea) from 2006. Previously worked at Barclays Bank (1979-1997) and CIBC (2000-2001). Revd Sandra’s interests include wide reading, gardening, worship and pastoral work.

Mr. Reudon Eversley, J.P., M.J, M.P.M, Dip Th is a longstanding journalist, media executive, political advisor and strategic communication specialist. Mr. Eversley holds master’s degrees in Journalism and Political Management and the Diploma in Theology. A Eucharistic Minister at St Christopher, he has a keen interest in current affairs.

Ms. Ella Hoyos LL.M. TEP, FCIArb is a Corporate Attorney and Principal of the Rockley Law Group. Among her many academic and professional qualifications is a Diploma in Theology from Codrington College. She is a Lay Reader and a PCC member at St. Lawrence Church and a member of the Synod Council. Ms. Hoyos has an avid interest in current affairs with special attention to all things Caribbean.

Ms. Sharon Power, BA is an Export Administrator who holds a BA Theology with First Class Honours. Ms. Power currently worships at St Barnabas and has a keen interest in pastoral outreach specifically catering to the elderly.

Rev Stephanie Ann Wedderburn BSc. BA (Theology) is the Assistant Curate of St John Parish Church and Supervisor at the Sandpiper Hotel with a BA Theology.  Rev Wedderburn is keenly interested in youth development and environmental issues.

Mr Hadford Howell MBE JP BA is a Partner of Had-Way Consulting and a novelist.  Mr Howell is a member of Christ Church Parish Church, a former Church Warden and PCC Member with a wide interest in sports and current affairs.

Mrs Mary Weekes is a Tax Associate at Deloitte who holds a BSc. Management and is currently a CPA student.   Mrs Weekes is a member of the Ushers’ Guild of The St Michael Cathedral and enjoys working with children and encouraging development.

The Most Revd & Dr. The Hon. John W.D. Holder, CBE, LLD. Bishop of Barbados and Archbishop of the Church in The Province of the West Indies.

 

 

The Patron:
Senator Sir Trevor A. Carmichael, KA, QC is the Principal of Chancery Chambers. He is a former Chairman of the Police Service Commission and former President of the Barbados National Trust and has been President of the Barbados Museum and Historical Society since 1989.

Sir Trevor is a member of numerous International Bar Associations including the Inter-American Bar, the Caribbean Bar Association, the International Tax Planning Association, and the International Fiscal Association and was one of the parties responsible for establishing a Barbados Chapter of the International Fiscal Association of which he is a Charter President.

He is the co-author of Land Use Under the Law – A Commentary and Compilation of Select Legislation in Small Island Developing States, and Passport to the Heart: Reflections on Canada Caribbean Relations. He serves as a Panel Member of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes of the World Bank in Washington, the Founder Chairman of the Barbados Youth Business Trust and the Chairman of the United World Colleges Selection Committee for Barbados.
